Punting has become more and more sophisticated over the years. With the introduction of soccer betting, i-betting and roll, punting has become more interesting. Once upon a time, soccer betting was through private bookies, there's only 2 options. In layman's term, to let or to eat balls. And usually, there is some form of "handicapped" involved to mitigate the situation of a draw match. Now, the Spools "innovated" or "copied" the concept of exact scores, total goals, combo and first and last scorer.

Similarly for i-bet, punters can now purchase a set of permutated numbers at a cost of $1. Though, the returns are diluted. I-bet aka insurance bet, a term I coined. It serve to protect your capital if the actual number appears in a jumbo mixed. For example, if I were to bet $5 big on 2975 and $2 big on i-bet. Any permutations that come along will win me a minimum of $6 to a maximum of $167. However, this is not sensible. Punters should seriously consider betting small instead of big for i-bet. Reason being simple, the return of $3 for consol and $10 for starter per dollar bet, is not good investment returns considering the risk involved. For small, it may get you a return of between $35 to $125 per dollar investment albeit only applicable to the top three prizes.

My philosophy is to strike big rather than diversify in 4D. My brother was boosting to me that , all in all, he striked almost 10 times last year. In the beginning of this year, I won $6500. Much more than the combination of his total winnings.

The First Time


It was almost 10 years ago where i first learned about 4D & ToTo. I was in uni and was keen to earn quick bucks to pay for movie tickets and clubbing fees. Damn lucky I was to have strike 5 out of 6 numbers for toto and second prize for 4D. My total winnings amount to about $10,000. I will never forget such undescribable feeling.

A colleague of mine told me recently that his son strike 4D third prize and have difficulty falling asleep at night. Too excited, too happy perhaps. I think to myself, welcome to the club dude.

I must warn all beginners or amateur. Know the pitfall of punting and play sensibly. Lesson number one, expect the unexpected. If there's a strong feeling that a particular number will open, most often it won't. Winning number will alway catch you by surprise.

Just realise that someone from Geylang has won the 2.8 mil jackpot.
It has been a while since the prize money snowball to such a hefty sum. I have invested $30 and, as expected, nil return. Rotten luck...

Sometimes, I wonder how do "God of Fortune" and "lady Luck" decide on who's the one. One school of thought maintained that it's the "ticum" "ticum" theory. On the other hand, another school believed that it is based on the right time and place theory. Some extremist believe in praying to the dead for numbers. According to my sources, be it coincidental or what, the dead do answer some of their prayers.

Whichever the case, I hope Uncle Fortune & Auntie Luck can come knocking on my door someday..
